Joe McFarlane is a real estate agent with MDRN Real Estate Solutions based in Boca Raton, Florida. He brings a lifetime of competition, coaching and discipline from wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and professional mixed martial arts into his real estate career.

Joe’s extensive combat-sports background taught him the importance of preparation, persistence and remaining composed under pressure. He applies those same qualities when helping clients navigate important real estate decisions.

Wrestling and BJJ Connection

Joe began wrestling at Smithtown Christian School in Suffolk County, New York, during the 1996–1997 season. He later competed at Half Hollow Hills East High School in 1998 before wrestling varsity at Burnt Hills High School from 1999 through 2001.

In 2001, Joe was ranked third in New York State high school wrestling and placed fourth at the New York State Junior Freestyle Championships.

Joe later returned to the sport as the wrestling coach at St. Andrews Prep School in Boca Raton from 2015 through 2017.

In 2002, Joe earned a national Top 10 ranking through NAGA. He made his professional MMA debut at Reality Fighting 5 in 2003 and trained and competed as a professional fighter with American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, from 2003 through 2004.

Joe remains active in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. He placed third at the 2024 IBJJF Master World Championships as a blue belt and currently competes as a purple belt.
