Raised in a Marine Corps family, Trip learned the importance of discipline, accountability, adaptability, and service at an early age. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Western Carolina University in 1999.

Before entering real estate, Trip spent 22 years with Outback Steakhouse and served as the owner of the Myrtle Beach location from 2006 through 2016. That experience gave him a strong foundation in leadership, customer service, communication, and building lasting relationships.

Today, Trip brings those same qualities to real estate. Whether helping someone purchase a first home, sell an existing property, relocate to the Myrtle Beach area, or explore an investment opportunity, he is committed to providing honest guidance and a smooth experience from start to finish.

Wrestling Connection

Trip’s connection to wrestling comes through his son, Drew DeForrest, a South Carolina State Champion who wrestles for Carolina Forest High School and Carolina Reapers Wrestling Academy.

As a wrestling father, Trip understands the commitment, discipline, sacrifice, and resilience required to succeed in the sport. Those same values influence the way he serves his clients and approaches every real estate transaction.
